Automated file review

My file review team checks every file by hand, and it still reaches committee incomplete.

File review gets automated with agentic systems we run, on top of the platforms you already have, off-the-shelf or in-house. A person approves anything high-stakes, and every review leaves an auditable record.

Already running inside the credit engine at a Mexican lender: tax validation of every file. Full file review automation goes live in the first weeks, with complete human review during the 4-week ramp-up.

What it looks like from file review.

  1. The checklist gets checked by hand, one file at a time.

Every product has its own list, and every analyst works through it at their own pace.

  2. Expired documents surface late.

A proof of address or a SAT opinion that’s no longer valid shows up when the case is already in committee.

  3. Inconsistencies between documents slip through.

The tax ID, legal name or address don’t match across the application, the bylaws and the bank statement, and nobody cross-checked.

  4. The committee package is built by hand.

Copying, pasting and summarizing the same file for every session.

  5. There’s no record of who reviewed what.

When the auditor asks, the answer depends on the team’s memory.

What changes

What does the agent do?

It checks every file against your policy checklist for each product. It flags gaps, expired documents and inconsistencies between documents. It asks the applicant or the loan officer for what’s missing. It validates tax data. And it prepares the package for committee or for signing, with what’s been checked and what’s pending in plain view. Your file review team keeps what needs judgment.

Which platforms does it work on?

The ones you already have, off-the-shelf or in-house: your CRM, your loan system, your e-signature, your bureau access and your document storage. Nothing has to be replaced. Agents connect through APIs or MCP with scoped permissions, and the systems stay yours.

How it runs
The agent
An agentic system we run, connected to your current platforms. It reads every file, compares it against your checklist, requests what’s missing, validates tax data and builds the committee package. It doesn’t approve or decline a loan.
The accountable person
Your head of file review owns the agent, by name, and signs off on every file. For the first 4 weeks, the agent checks with a person on every decision and action. After that, anything high-stakes —a questionable document, a policy exception, sending a file to committee— is always approved by a person; simple things, like requesting an expired document, it handles with what it learned, and every action is logged.
The evidence
Every review leaves an auditable record: what was compared against which checklist item, what was missing, what was validated, against which source, and who approved it. In an audit or an exam, the file is handed over with its history.
The stop button
Your team pauses the agent whenever it wants and keeps going manually. If a validation source doesn’t respond, the agent doesn’t pass the file: it holds it and raises a flag.
The rule that raises the bar

The file is assembled before you lend, not after.

Mexico’s AML regime requires the identification file before the transaction.

A SOFOM’s anti-money-laundering obligations require identifying the customer and assembling their file before doing business with them, and keeping it. A review that happens at the end, by hand, is where files show up incomplete at the exam. One that happens as the case moves forward, with a record of every check, can be handed over as is.

Proof

What already runs, and what we stand up with you.

We share it without names or numbers, because the client is under an NDA. We don’t yet have a full file review operation in production: it goes live in the first weeks, with complete human review during the 4-week ramp-up.

  • In production at a Mexican lender: tax validation through a link when the applicant enters their tax ID, with the bureau report, SAT tax compliance opinion and tax file built into the credit engine’s memo.
  • AI document reading is built and not yet switched on for any client.

Questions

What a lender asks before starting.

What does an agent review in loan file review?
What your team checks today with a list: that every document the policy requires for that product is there, that it’s current, that data matches across documents and that tax information is valid. The agent flags gaps and inconsistencies, requests what’s missing and builds the package. Anything that needs judgment, like a questionable document or an exception, is approved by a person.
Do I have to replace my CRM, my loan system or my e-signature?
No. The agents work on top of the platforms you already have, off-the-shelf or in-house. They connect through APIs or MCP, with permissions scoped to what they need to read or write. Your systems remain the source of truth and remain yours; what changes is who does the repetitive review, and that every review leaves a record.
How long does it take to stand up?
File review automation goes live in the first weeks, starting with one product. During the 4-week ramp-up, the agent checks with a person on every decision and every action, and your team tightens the checklist where needed. After that, high-stakes calls still go through a person and simple ones are handled by the agent, with every resolution logged.
What does it cost, and how do we start?
You start with a free diagnostic: we review your checklist by product, your platforms and how the committee package gets built today, and tell you which parts an agent can review and which stay with your team. Pricing comes in a formal proposal. There is a one-time activation fee and a monthly operations fee, because InnovaBlack runs it supervised and current.
